Repair scanning is one of the most commonly used processes of oral scanning software, which needs to scan the patient's upper and lower jaws and occlusion data separately. The initial scan position can be selected in the software settings for the upper or lower jaw. The process of implant scanning is based on the repair scanning, and the step of implant rod scanning is added. The obtained scanning rod data will be sent to the processing plant at the same time to accurately locate the depth and direction of the implant, and then design the abutment and crown on this basis. The orthodontic process needs to scan the patient's full-mouth data. In order to meet the data requirements of different orthodontic manufacturers, in addition to the tooth data, some gingival data and adjacent data should be scanned completely.
