Impression Scan
For areas that are difficult or impossible to scan intraorally, it is recommended to take a silicone impression clinically. A combination of intraoral and silicone model scanning can provide more complete scan data for challenging cases.
Impression Scanning Procedure:
Step 1: First, perform a standard scan of the tooth model or real teeth in the mouth.
Step 2: Enter the "Impression Scanning" mode. At this point, when you rotate the 3D image, you will notice that the direction of the 3D image is reversed!
(This is to ensure proper alignment and merging with the impression in the subsequent steps.)
Step 3: Scan the corresponding impression.
Step 4: Exit the impression mode and return to the normal scanning process. The 3D image will automatically reverse again, returning to the correct display.
Note: It is essential to follow the above steps. Scanning impressions during the normal scanning process or scanning regular models in the impression scanning mode will result in scanning errors.
